In the southeastern frontier of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountain Range lies the small town of Wind Gap. The mountains are famous for outdoor activities and other wonderful pursuits for those seeking the space and solitude that is unique to a playground such as nature has provided here! The town of Wind Gap is relatively quiet but each June, just up a winding tree-lined road from the town proper, magic fills the air! It’s the magic of the annual Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival. During this time, Wind Gap means music, the fellowship of campfire stories, and that favorite back-country recipe, skillfully prepared by one or more “Deep Woods Chefs”!
OVERVIEW - Mountain View Park is located in a scenic section of eastern Pennsylvania. Camping is free with a weekend ticket and includes camping on Sunday night. Sorry, no camping with one-day tickets. A limited number of electric passes are available at $40 for the entire festival, Tue., June 4th through Mon., June 10th. Last year, 2023, they sold out weeks before the festival. It is likely this will happen this year. The camping electricity has been greatly upgraded over the years, but still won't support air conditioning or electric cooking. In some areas, coffee pots may be a problem. It is for minimal use only, such as a shower pump, keeping your battery charged, breathing machines, minimal lighting, etc. Every vehicle using electricity must have a pass, even if one camper is plugged into another. Generators are allowed only if they are reasonably quiet. If necessary, the festival staff will decide if they are acceptably quiet.
